Dubai Sports World is back with a bang!

Dubai Sports World, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, in association with the Dubai Sports Council, other sporting partners and academies, is back for its 12th year, and will go on till September 21, 2022.

It’s the longest event yet featuring sporting activities spread across 20,000 square metres.

A fitness enthusiasts’ dream come true it gives visitors access to a range of indoor activities. It has been limited during the pandemic, but is now running at full capacity with facilities for football, cricket, padel tennis, tennis, badminton and more. It is being held at Za’abeel Halls 3 to 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre, which operated as a Covid-19 field hospital for some time in 2020.

Get to know PADEL Tennis

New to Padel Tennis? DSW 2022 is your chance to get initiated into this relatively new sport. It is played on an enclosed court that’s smaller than a tennis court and uses a string-less racquet to play. Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports, and is a combination of racquet sports like tennis, squash and badminton. Do try out this new sport at the venue.

How to book courts and academy sessions at Dubai Sports World?

You can book online through their app or website. Through on-site booking you can also rent the DSW facilities. Please go through the Dubai Sports World registration process.

What are the rules to follow at the Dubai Sports World?

  • The latest time for booking is 11:00 pm daily.
  • Availability of sports equipment is limited, so to avoid delays and disappointments visitors are recommended to bring their own equipment.
  • While there is no entrance fee for DSW, there is a rental charge for using the pitches and courts.
  • There are changing rooms and shower facilities next to the venue, but guests have to bring their own towels and toiletries.
  • The rates and timings for football and cricket training can vary.
  • Depending on the number of chosen days, the availability of space and the prices for sessions may vary.

How can I get to Dubai Sports World?

DSW is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), just off Sheikh Zayed Road. The DWTC is just a little over 10 minutes by car if you live in the apartments in Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Sports World at DWTC is in Za’abeel Halls 4, 5 and 6.

If you are taking the Dubai Metro, get off on the World Trade Centre Station on the Red Line. Those travelling via RTA buses, take route numbers 27, 29, 55 and 61 stop near the Dubai Sports World location. To reach the venue you can also book an RTA taxi or even drive down and make use of the visitors parking area near the venue.

Do I have to check in?

Whether playing sports or accompanying other players all visitors must check in before entering the sports area. It can be done via the Dubai Sports World Mobile App and at the check-in counters located on site.

To save time and avoid delays we recommend all players and visitors to download the app prior to their arrival.

Is there any entrance fee to access the venue?

There is no entrance fee. But you need to pay for the sports facilities.

Where can I redeem my complimentary voucher?

You can redeem them online during the booking process.

Is there any dress code to be followed across the venue?

There are no strict guidelines. Dress modestly while at the venue.

What if I want to bring a guest?

They must follow the visitor guidelines and register and check-in via the Dubai Sports World Mobile App.

Are photography and videography allowed inside the venue?

Yes. You can take pictures or post videos for personal use. However, please respect the privacy of others. Professional photography or videography is also available.

Is there an age limit to book a slot?

People of all ages are welcome. But children who are not attending an academy should be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Are sports equipment available for rent at the venue?

Yes, but the availability of equipment is limited. In the eventuality of any damaged or lost equipment, the user is liable to financially replace the equipment. It’s best to bring your own equipment where possible, since equipment available are limited in numbers.
