12 Indoor Exhibition Halls
Over 35,000 sqm of exhibition space running through the 12 exhibition halls, the concourse and the atrium will be filled with 1100s of local and international defence manufacturers and contractors.
Outdoor space
The outside Capital Plaza features the exhibition stands, media centre, exhibitor chalets and outside displays.
Live Demonstrations
Exhibiting companies have the opportunity to demonstrate equipment and crafts at IDEX. On the water and on the purpose-built demonstration track daily choreographed displays will be held. Private demonstrations of vehicles and crafts can also be hosted by the exhibiting companies.
Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX)
Local and international exhibitors who specialises in maritime, naval, and coastal security technology, equipment and crafts will be located at NAVDEX, the Maritime Security Area. NAVDEX also features daily demonstrations, on-water exhibits, and visiting navy vessels on the dock edge.
International Defence Conference
For Defence, security, academic communities and companies operating in the region and internationally the Abu Dhabi International Offset Conference (ADIOC) and the IDEX Conference will be combined into a single event.

What Are the Exhibiting Options Available at IDEX 2023?
At IDEX 2023 more than 1,200 companies will exhibit indoors, outside, on the dock edge and on the water.
- Space Only: Individual space stands comprise of indoor exhibition space
- Double-Decker Builds: Exhibitors are encouraged to build double decker areas within their stand (permission to build double storey stands on divided sites is subject to agreement from the neighbouring stands).
- Indoor Shell Space: This is a complete stand package; the minimum stand size is 12sqm.
- Outdoor Space: This option offers the ability to display a static exhibit, build an outside stand or construct a chalet or pavilion in the area located in the central plaza and accessible from the exhibition halls.
- Country Pavilions: IDEX expects over 38 country pavilions to reserve areas.
