CUSTOM DUAL-LEVEL STAND
How Strokes Exhibits delivered Ledvance Middle East FZE’s standout stand at Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2026 - a suspended LED video-wall fascia, 300+ working demonstration light fixtures, and a 48-hour build at DWTC Dubai.
About the Client
Ledvance is one of the world’s leading providers of general illumination, with operations in more than 140 countries and offices in over 50 countries. The company’s product portfolio spans LED lighting, smart and connected luminaires, sustainable infrastructure systems, and intelligent illumination platforms for residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Ledvance Middle East FZE is the regional arm responsible for the company’s growth across one of the fastest-expanding LED lighting markets in the world.
THE MARKET CONTEXT - The Middle East and Africa LED lighting market is forecast to reach approximately US$10.34 billion by 2030. Light + Intelligent Building Middle East is the regional show where that market’s buyers, specifiers, smart-building integrators, and government-led infrastructure programmes are convened. For Ledvance, the stand was a strategic platform, not a marketing exercise.
About the Event
Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2026 ran from 12 to 14 January 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, across four exhibition halls covering 17,432 gross square metres. The show welcomed 16,473 trade visitors from 95 countries and 340 exhibitors from 30 countries, alongside a knowledge programme of 140+ speakers and 55+ conference sessions across the THINKLIGHT, InSpotLight, and Smart Building Summit tracks. Exhibiting brands included Ledvance, Signify, Honeywell, Opple, KNX, Schneider Electric, Theben, and Airzone - the global field of lighting, automation, and intelligent building leaders. The event achieved a reported 97% overall visitor satisfaction rate.
A Live Lighting Laboratory
for a Global Category Leader
Ledvance came to Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2026 with a specific commercial objective. The stand had to do three things at once. First, demonstrate Ledvance’s product depth at the level a lighting specifier or smart-building integrator would respect - not a brochure on a wall, but working hardware they could see, switch, and inspect. Second, project the scale of a global category leader operating in 140+ countries, in a hall where Signify, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, KNX, and the rest of the global field were also exhibiting. Third, host the volume of buyer, distributor, and partner conversations that a regional growth strategy of this importance demands.
The creative brief from Ledvance to Strokes Exhibits was equally clear: build an environment that frames lighting as architecture - a working demonstration of intelligent illumination at scale, not a product display. The stand had to make the case that Ledvance is one of the brands shaping the future of lighting, smart buildings, and sustainable infrastructure, and it had to make that case in three days of trading.

The Stand as a Working Lighting Laboratory
Strokes Exhibits made one strategic creative decision: rather than treat lighting as decoration on the stand, treat lighting as the product the stand was built to demonstrate. The architecture became the housing for a working laboratory of Ledvance’s product portfolio - zoned by category, programmed for live demonstration, and built to permit hands-on engagement from any visitor who walked up. A buyer or specifier did not read about Ledvance’s capability. They watched 300+ fixtures perform in front of them.
Show-Stopper 01
300+ Working Demonstration Fixtures
The defining feature of the entire project. 300+ Ledvance light fixtures — across LED, spotlight, downlight, smart, and connected lines — were installed, wired, and fully commissioned on the stand to operate simultaneously. The stand functioned as a working lighting laboratory: visitors could see beam quality, colour temperature, dimming behaviour, controls integration, and energy performance live, on real product, at scale, in dedicated category zones (“Spotlight & Downlight” and others). In a 340-exhibitor hall populated by Signify, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and the rest of the global field, this was the credibility move that no brochure or video wall could match.
Show-Stopper 02
Suspended Large-Format LED Video-Wall Fascia
A large-format LED video wall was suspended at full upper-elevation height above the stand, running cinematic Ledvance brand storytelling - “Power Through Light”, scenes of intelligent illumination in real environments - visible from across the show floor. Engineering a video-wall fascia of this size into a 48-hour build, with the structural rigging and electrical loads it demands, is a different category of complexity from a static brand panel. It made Ledvance one of the most identifiable brands in the hall before a visitor had walked five metres into it.
Show-Stopper 03
Smart-Building Category Architecture
The event’s name - Light + Intelligent Building - is also Ledvance’s strategic positioning. The design team built that thesis directly into the stand’s zoning and visual architecture: “LEDVANCE - POWER THROUGH LIGHT” as a graphic statement on the entry elevation, dedicated category zones for spotlight, downlight, and smart connected lines, and a live biophilic greenery wall integrated into the ground-floor architecture as a visible cue to Ledvance’s sustainable-infrastructure positioning. Visitors could see Ledvance the way Honeywell, Schneider, and KNX are seen at the same show - as a category leader in intelligent buildings, not a commodity lighting supplier.
Feature 04
Zoned Product Demonstration Space
The ground-floor demonstration space was zoned by Ledvance product line, with category headers visible from the aisle (“Spotlight & Downlight” and others), so a visiting integrator or specifier could navigate directly to the fixtures relevant to their project, rather than browsing a catalogue.
Feature 05
Live Biophilic Greenery Wall
A live greenery / biophilic wall was integrated into the ground-floor elevation, signalling Ledvance’s sustainable-infrastructure positioning physically rather than only graphically.
Feature 06
“Power Through Light” Statement Wall
A bold red “LEDVANCE - POWER THROUGH LIGHT” headline, executed in graphic-art format on the entry elevation, anchored the stand’s creative narrative and tied the brand storytelling on the LED fascia to the physical product on the floor below.
Lighting brands at lighting shows have a
particular problem: every booth has lights.
Standing out in that field is not a matter of installing a bigger LED screen — it is a matter of demonstrating product credibility at the depth a working lighting professional will recognise. For Ledvance, that meant 300+ working light fixtures, fully commissioned, running simultaneously, across an architectural footprint that itself had to be built from scratch.
The technical reality behind that ambition is significant. 300+ commissioned fixtures on a single stand involves dedicated power distribution and circuit balancing, dimming and control programming across multiple zones, heat management, electrical safety isolation, and 300+ individual commissioning steps before a single lamp is signed off. Layered on top: a custom dual-level stand structure with a suspended large-format LED video-wall fascia rising above the upper elevation, the structural engineering and rigging approvals that DWTC requires, and an end-to-end build inside a 48-hour on-site window. There was no margin for trades to land out of sequence.
48 Hours, End to End
A custom stand that integrates 300+ commissioned fixtures and a suspended large-format LED video-wall fascia into 48 hours is won in the pre-production phase. Strokes Exhibits sequenced a specialist multi-trade crew against an hour-by-hour schedule — structural steel riggers and certified installers for the upper-elevation video-wall structure; carpenters and joiners for the demonstration zones, statement walls, and architectural massing; electricians and lighting commissioning specialists for the 300+ fixture install and circuit balancing; AV technicians for the suspended LED video wall and the connected-lighting demonstrations; lighting programmers for the dimming and scene-control runs; horticulturists for the live biophilic wall; graphics and print teams; and dedicated on-site project supervision.
Structure went in first, because every other trade depended on it. The upper-elevation steelwork and rigging for the suspended LED video wall were certified and signed off before the lighting trades arrived. Power distribution and circuit infrastructure followed, because 300+ fixtures cannot be commissioned against ad hoc power runs. Fixture installation, control programming, video-wall content commissioning, and per-zone electrical sign-off ran in parallel through the second window. Final brand graphics, joinery finishing, the biophilic wall installation, and the live-demonstration walkthrough were closed out in the final protected window before the client walkthrough.
By the time Light + Intelligent Building Middle East opened on 12 January, the LED fascia was running cinematic brand content, every Ledvance fixture was operating, every dimming scene was programmed, the biophilic wall was installed and lit, and the stand was trading-ready — with no snag list carried into show days.
The Ledvance stand delivered on every layer of the brief - as a credibility statement, a product demonstration, a brand-visibility platform, and a category-leadership signal.
Working Lighting Laboratory at Scale
300+ commissioned fixtures running simultaneously, zoned by category, across a custom architectural footprint - a credibility move the 340-exhibitor hall did not see anywhere else.
Hall-Wide Brand Visibility
A suspended large-format video-wall fascia and dual illuminated brand beacons made Ledvance one of the most identifiable brands from any approach in the hall — in front of an audience of 16,473 trade visitors from 95 countries.
Category-Leadership Presentation Among Global Peers
The stand presented Ledvance alongside Signify, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Opple, KNX, Theben, and Airzone in the global lighting and intelligent-building field - as a peer, not a participant.
48-Hour Delivery on a High-Complexity Build
A custom dual-level stand with a suspended large-format LED video-wall fascia, 300+ commissioned fixtures, full electrical commissioning, a live biophilic wall, and a complete client-ready handover, delivered inside a 48-hour DWTC build window.
"Working with Strokes Exhibits was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Their expertise and creativity in designing and producing our exhibition stand at Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2025 perfectly showcased the LEDVANCE brand."
